The 3rd international ART FAIR ART COMPENSA will be held in Lithuania on 24 - 26 May 2024.

Last year, art fans were pleasantly surprised by the event’s artistic diversity and exceptional architecture, while artists appreciated the successful sales of artworks and the large number of visitors. This year, we are expanding the format into an international art fair, which will bring together talented creators from all over Lithuania and neighboring countries, and giving visitors to the fair the opportunity to buy high-end art works at an affordable price. Our motto is “Art compensates!”

You will be captivated by the paintings, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, and photography works presented throughout 2500 square meters of the spaces of the Compensa concert hall. Over half a dozen authors will present their work. Secret shots from the authors’ creative workshops, tours, creative workshops and contests are part of the interactive entertainment that are awaiting visitors.

The Art Compensa art fair will help artists BE SEEN and DISCOVERED BY THE PUBLIC, while giving visitors the opportunity to EXPERIENCE the JOY of buying and collecting art as they broaden their cultural horizons.

The fair will be accompanied by satellite exhibitions in Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga throughout the year. The works of the Art Compensa art fund can be purchased at peveikslaitau.lt at exceptional prices.

The 3rd international ART FAIR ART COMPENSA carries out the educational art project LINKS BETWEEN TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY ART – inviting teachers and students to participate in educational tours and meet with artists free of charge. During the tours, visitors will observe the connections between traditional and contemporary art, and they can participate in educational programs and creative workshops.

We present you the educational workshop program:
MEETINGS WITH ARTISTS. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk directly with the artists, learn about the diversity of the fair’s participants, and listen to what the artists have to say.

CERAMICS. Learn more about the work of teachers and students of the Department of Ceramics, and observe how the 3D ceramics’ printer works.

TEXTILE. The textile department’s digital embroidery machines will demonstrate how various items can be embroidered.
PAINTING. There will be an opportunity to observe the painting sessions of the Secret Society of Artists of Lithuanian Artists’ Association - quick painting, lightning painting, still life studio, and portrait drawing.

CALLIGRAPHY. Writing technique, composition, writing tools, history and features of fonts. You can find out about all this and, of course, learn how to do it yourself.

RESTORATION OF PAINTINGS. Discover the intricacies of restoration and observe the process first-hand.

GRAPHICS. Graphics artist Evaldas Mikalauskis will invite you to become involved in the process of creating graphics – and in return, you will be rewarded with a limited edition graphic print from the originals of the graphic set of guest artists.
Art researchers of Vilnius Academy of Arts will demonstrate how to "uncover", i.e. examine the artwork and discover how much it reveals to us.

CARICATURE DRAWINGS Gintaras Jocius will amuse visitors with funny souvenirs.

As an international fair, this event provides a unique platform for meetings between Lithuanian artists and the public. The fair is unique as the artists themselves create the atmosphere of the art workshop and present their works to the audience, rather than simply having their work presented by galleries. We will be displaying an overview of the work of over 50 Lithuanian artists, along with a journey through the history of art, styles, searches, artists’ challenges and discoveries. Art Compensa Art Fair tours are an art lesson for the inquisitive artistic person!
