KALME is a trio of voices, consisting of 3 vocalists - Monta Kurme, Inese Bērziņa, and Marija Valmiera.
The group was born out of a shared history in The Coco'nuts and a shared passion for the subtleties of vocal harmonies. KALME is not just about sounds; it is a story of friendship, reunion, artistic exploration and music's ability to transcend the limitations of time and space.
KALME's repertoire includes songs that span a wide range of genres, from gentle ballads, American folk, and blues to singer-songwriter style songs, highlighting each vocalist's unique talents and overall harmonic interplay.
KALME's artistic expression is characterized by a love for the raw power of emotion hidden in human voices, manifested in both a cappella arrangements and compositions featuring the warm tones of double bass and guitar, played by musicians Toms Valmiers and Miķelis Vanags.
