In August Hurts will perform in Sigulda with a special anniversary set

In August 2010, the debut album "Happiness" of the Manchester band so popular also in Latvia was released. It soon hit the top of the charts in many European countries, making the band one of the most fast selling one of that year. The album's lead singles Stay, Wonderful Life, Better Than Love, Illuminated, Blood, Tears & Gold still retain their relevance and frequently are heard in radio rotation.

Hurts core Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson comment: “The year 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of our debut album “Happiness”. It’s hard to believe these songs are 15 years old. The period of writing and releasing the record feels like a strange dream. Close but impossibly out of reach."
In honor of this success, Hurts have prepared a special concert program based on the songs of "Happiness", supplemented with the best-known hits from the rest of the band's albums.

The special pre-sale for subscribers of www.tvnet.lv will start on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 10.00am.

While the pre-sale for subscribers of www.bilesuserviss.lv newsletter will start 2 days later - on Thursday, December 5th, at 10.00am.

Public sales in the entire www.bilesuserviss.lv network starting from Friday, December 6th, at 10.00am.

Hurts was founded in Manchester in 2009 by vocalist Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist Adam Anderson. The band's calling card has become an elegant, slightly alienated style of dress, great melodies typical of the 80s rather than today, often a gloomy but intriguing textual mood, which is accentuated by vocals pierced with aches and despair. The importance of elegant videos, which are often characterized by surprising twists and turns, cannot be denied either.

Since its release in 2010, more than 2 million copies of "Happiness" have been sold, ranking the album in the 1st place of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Luxembourg or at least in the top ten of some other countries. In Latvia, the record reached the 2nd place. The album is now recognised as 16x Platinum and 7x Gold globally.

“It was a kind of immaculate conception. 12 songs written pretty much in order, one after another. Like they were desperate to get out of us. Each of those songs has lived a million lifetimes since then,” Theo and Adams remember. They’ve travelled to every corner of the world, and taken us along for the ride,”
“We can’t wait to be with you all again and see what happiness has become. These will be nights to treasure. Thank you for everything you’ve given us for the last 15 years.”

The following albums "Exile" (2013), "Surrender" (2015), "Desire" (2017) and "Faith" (2020) helped strengthen the group's success. As well as a series of music and video awards.

It must be admitted that the response of the listeners is already not disappointing - the Hurts concerts in London and Berlin, announced at the end of October, were sold out in an instant. Since the capacity of Sigulda Castle is quite limited, and this will be the only concert in the Baltic States, don't postpone buying your ticket for a later moment.
