The provider of the ticket insurance service is If P&C Insurance AS, the policyholder is SIA “Biļešu Serviss PLG”, and the insured person is the ticket holder (event attendee).

What is ticket insurance?

When purchasing a ticket from Biļešu Serviss PLG, it is possible to add insurance to the ticket. The insurer will reimburse the ticket price if you are unable to attend the event for the reasons specified in the insurance terms and conditions.Ticket insurance can be added during the purchase process for tickets to events taking place in the Baltic States on the online platforms: in Latvia – www.bilesuserviss.lv, in Estonia – www.piletilevi.ee, and in Lithuania – www.bilietai.lt.

Who is the insured person?

The insured person is the ticket holder (event attendee). If the ticket is transferred to another person, the ticket insurance is automatically transferred together with the ticket to the new ticket holder.

What does ticket insurance cover?

Ticket insurance reimburses the price of an unused ticket if the insured person is unable to attend the event due to one of the following circumstances:

  • Death of the insured person or a family member, occurring no earlier than 10 days before the event;
  • An accident involving the insured person or a sudden illness diagnosed within the last 5 days before the event;
  • An accident involving the insured person’s child under the age of 12 or a sudden illness diagnosed within the last 5 days before the event that requires the insured person’s continuous supervision;
  • A traffic accident involving a car, taxi, bus, train, or other means of transport used to travel to the event;
  • Within 24 hours before the event, damage exceeding EUR 2,000 has been caused to the insured person’s home in Latvia due to fire, explosion, storm, hail, flooding, pipeline leakage, theft, robbery, or actions of third parties.

In the case of a season pass or a set of tickets, the cost of an unused ticket is calculated by dividing the total cost by the number of events.

What is not covered by ticket insurance?

Ticket insurance does not reimburse the ticket price if:

  • The ticket has been used to attend the event;
  • The ticket holder was delayed due to a traffic jam (unless the ticket holder’s own vehicle was involved in a traffic accident);
  • At the time of the incident resulting in non-use of the ticket, the ticket holder was under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or other intoxicating substances;
  • The ticket holder provided false information when applying for compensation, including submitting a forged ticket;
  • Before purchasing the ticket, the ticket holder was aware of reasons or circumstances that would prevent attendance at the event;
  • The ticket price has been refunded by the event organizer or another party;
  • The event has been cancelled or postponed;
  • The ticket is invalid due to restrictions or prohibitions imposed by the state or local authorities.

If the event is cancelled, the ticket insurance premium will be refunded to you automatically.The event organizer is responsible for replacing or compensating the ticket for the cancelled event.

How to apply for compensation?

Complete the insurance compensation claim form no later than 30 days after the event you were unable to attend.

The following documents must be attached to the claim:

  • The insured ticket;
  • In the case of illness or injury – a doctor’s certificate; in the case of death – a death certificate;
  • In the case of a traffic accident – a police certificate or a coordinated accident statement;if damage has been caused to a home – a certificate from the building manager, police, or another competent authority.

If an insured event has occurred, If Insurance will transfer the ticket price to your bank account.
