For thousands of people all over the world, Robert Smith means much much more than just a big pile of hair, black eye-liner and smeared red lipstick even if it all is his strong long-time trademark.

Aware of the deep, even all-encompassing musical and cultural significance of The Cure, this will not be just a one-day concert, but a set of events that will take place during the week starting from October 3rd. To stay tuned, pls don't forget to follow: https://www.facebook.com/ltipsagency.

The Cure (originally Easy Cure) was formed in 1976 in Crawley, England by Robert Smith with his schoolmates. The debut album "Three Imaginary Boys" was released in 1979, and was positively rated by critics, categorizing the band in the post-punk and the new wave. With the next album, "Seventeen Seconds", the guys gradually turned to a new, darker and gloomier style, which, along with Smith's stage image, strongly influenced the emerging Gothic rock genre, as well as the entire subculture that eventually developed around the genre.
Since then, The Cure is considered one of the pioneers and brightest examples of the Gothic rock. Robert Smith has always dismissed critics' desire to place the group in a certain category, commenting on this in a 2006 interview: "It's so pitiful when 'goth' is still tagged onto the name the Cure", and added, "We're not categorisable. I suppose we were post-punk when we came out, but in total it's impossible [...] I just play Cure music, whatever that is."

Although generally considered to be the producer of dark, gloomy, and textually in-depth music, in the broader field of pop music The Cure are known for a series of more upbeat songs that began with Let's Go To Bed and continued with Inbetween Days, Close To Me, Just Like Heaven, Lovesong and of course the chrestomathy Friday I'm in Love.

Disintegration (1989) with Lullaby, Lovesong and Pictures of You became The Cure's most commercially successful album.

During their career, The Cure has released 13 studio, several live and compilation albums, plus more than 40 singles, selling more than 30 million records in total. They also have several concert films on their account, as well as some soundtracks. It's no secret that Robert Smith's style was borrowed for one of the most iconic films of director Tim Burton, Edward Scissorhands. Following release of the film Smith collaborated musically with Burton on two other his films.

The Cure has received a number of prestigious musical awards, including the Brit Award, the MTV Music Video Award, the Ivor Novello Award and more.
In 2019, The Cure was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, Jane's Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, AFI, 30 Seconds To Mars, The Killers, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Deftones, Blink 182 are just a few bands to name, whose members do not hide The Cure or Robert Smith's influence.
