This summer Matteo Bocelli will perform in Jurmala

HAUSER's Sigulda concert is completely sold out half a year before the scheduled date

6 months before the scheduled date - July 10th - the concert of cello virtuoso HAUSER on stage of the picturesque Castle of Sigulda was completely sold out. Positivus festival next summer will take place on July 19-20

The only Ed Sheeran show in the Baltic – next August in Kaunas

On August 3rd, 2024 multiple award-winning superstar Ed Sheeran will perform at the recently renovated S.Darius and S. Girenas stadium in Kaunas. 

POSITIVUS KIDS ISLAND ANNOUNCES THE PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITIES

Already for the fifth consecutive year, the Kids Island will be created in the Positivus Festival; and for the first time it is done in cooperation with the children-friendly brand Apovit SmartKidz. The youngest Festival’s visitors will have the possibility to play and meet other children and to take part in various activities. The time spent on the Island will be made more exciting also by the Children Art Studio Azote, the Children Science Centre Z(in)oo, the Latvian Nature Museum, the Nature Conversation Agency, Varis Toys, pasakas.net, Aivars Daņiļevičs’ Dance School Dzirnas and others. The children will be in safe hands all the time with the fabulous nurses from the kindergarten Laumiņu rezidence.

 “We are really glad to cooperate with Positivus this year and to create together the Apovit SmartKidz Kids Island, which helps parents with small children enjoy the festival to the full. Gripping activities, brain games, art workshops, obstacle racing and colourful recreation corners will be waiting for the agile, dexterous, smart and adventure-eager Festival’s visitors of the young age. Moreover, Apovit SmartKidz will meet every child and see off with a small gift,” said the Apovit SmartKidz Brand Manager Zane Blankenfelde.

The creative scientific workshops with the Children Science Centre Z(in)oo will offer interactive exhibitions and activities that enable the children to test and try various technologies and laws of nature and will unleash their interest in looking for answers, understanding them and enjoying exploring. The children will have the possibility to explore the nature together with the Latvian Nature Museum: the Museum’s employees who work in the creative workshops will invite the children to look in the versatility of the nature and to explore the flora and fauna. In the activity “In Nature with Understanding” with the Nature Conservation Agency, the children will learn to feel, explore and understand the world of forests, seaside, meadows and water, to see and understand these values and the regularities that reign in the versatile world of nature.

Andris Daņiļēvičs’ Dance School Dzirnas will offer attractive and joyful morning exercises with rhythm, sound and coordination exercises for a cheery morning, but in the evening discotheque Rock'N’Rullē the children will be offered an insight in all the dance genres: hip hop, break dance, acrobatics, improvisation, jazz, modern dances, rock’n’roll, contact improvisation etc. The plein air painting workshop for small artists with the Children Art Studio Azote will help the children to go on a flight of imagination and fantasies and to show their ideal world using drawings, paintings, compositions, modelling and other techniques.

In addition, there will be offered sports games, large-scale table games, various creative workshops – origami, painting, drawing, tasks, ornaments workshop, collages etc., the children will be offered to invent and solve riddles together with Pasakas.net, watch Latvian cartoons, listen to fairytales and play with the educational, ecological and high-quality wooden toys from Varis Toys.

On Friday, July 18, the Kids Island will be open from 12:00, but on Saturday, July 19, and on Sunday, July 20, it will be open already from 10:00. The activities will be closed every evening on 22:00 with the Sleep Films.

The entry ticket to the Kids Island this year will cost EUR 4 per day and EUR 10 for all three days. The tickets can be bought in advance here.

The Festival’s three-day ticket without a tent place costs EUR 57 and EUR 63 with a tent place. As the Festival comes nearer, the ticket price will increase.

As already announced, the Lattelecom stage will feature Kraftwerk, Bastille, Ellie Goulding, Elbow, The Kooks, The 1975, Daughter, Anna Calvi, The Horrors, You Me At Six, AlunaGeorge, NONONO, FM Belfast, And So I Watch You From Afar.

The Nordea Stage will feature Tricky, Chet Faker, Pharoah Sanders Quartet, Laura Mvula, Junip, Temples, Of Montreal, MØ, Future Islands, King Charles, Kid Karate, Justina Lee Brown&Latvian Blues Band, Birth Of Joy and Dzelzs Vilka Jauno Jāņu Orķestris.
