From 30 September, 2016 till 2 October, 2016 Riga will host the III International Oriental Music Festival “RUMI FEST”, organized under the slogan “Facing cultures, melodies and rhythms of the East and West”.
The main events of the Festival will be held on 30 September 2016 at the Riga
Latvian Society House venue, and on 1 and 2 October, 2016 at the Great Guild venue.
The Festival program features the following artists:

the unique joint project of three most famous Latvian guitar players of the elder generation Aivars Hermanis, Kaspars Zemitis and Marcis Auzinsh “Acoustic Guitar Trio”,
-
the musician from Turkey Volkan Incüvez,
-
the group "Hallajvashan" from France,
-
musicians Vardan Hovanissian and Emre Gültekin from Belgium,
-
musicians Avshalom Farjun and Avi Agababa from Israel,
-
musicians Valerio Chacon, El Marito, El Glorio, Xena Chacon from Spain.
The concerts will feature performance of classical, world and sacred music.
The Festival is organized by the Society “AUSTRUMU KULTŪRAS CENTRS” (THE CENTRE OF ORIENTAL CULTURE), which executes such events as developing workshops and seminars, charity concerts, evenings of poetry and music with participation of eminent musicians from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Iran, Turkey and other countries.
The following cultural events shall be organized in the framework of the Festival:

exhibition of EBRU paintings “Amazing marbling art on water”,

master-class in EBRU art,

Oriental bazaar,

art exhibition of paintings.
