On Friday, December 10th, at 10:00 am, in the entire www.bilesuserviss.lv network starts public sale of tickets for The Cure concert, which will take place on October 6th at Arena Riga.
As the special guests have been confirmed the Scottish post-punks The Twilight Sad.
This time, there are several reasons not to delay the purchase of tickets.
Firstly, it will be the first and only concert of the cult band The Cure in the Baltic States. This means that not only residents of Latvia, but also their nearest and further neighbours are showing increased interest in buying tickets.
Secondly, The Cure will start their European concert tour right in Riga. Recall that the group's previous tour ended in 2016. Since then, Robert Smith and the team have performed only at festivals.
Third, The Cure's new studio album is scheduled for release in 2022. As you know, the previous record "4:13 Dream" was released in October 2008 and it goes without saying that thousands of fans around the world are eagerly awaiting this event. Accordingly, in Riga one will have a unique opportunity to enjoy at least some of the band's premieres live. A total of at least 2 hours of performance is promised.
Fourth, no doubt that The Cure's concert at the Arena Riga on October 6th will be the culmination, but not the only event dedicated to the band that week. Thus, ticket holders will have a chance to attend more than just a concert. We will inform you about the program of events separately.
And at least the
fifth argument - when then, if not now?! There may be no next time!
It is no exaggeration to say that for more than 40 years the formation led by charismatic Robert Smith has become a source of enthusiasm, inspiration, imitation, encouragement or even consolation for not one generation of many listeners, musicians, artists, designers and creative people in general.
Lullaby, Friday I'm in Love, Just Like Heaven, Lovesong, Pictures Of You, Close To Me, In Between Days, Boys Don't Cry, Let's Go To Bed, A Strange Day, The Lovecats and a number of other pieces should be easy to name to anyone familiar with the band's work.
