As summer comes to a close and a new school year begins, Riga will host the very first Fantadroms – Riga International Kite Festival, a new international cultural event that brings together renowned kite artists and creative teams from around the world.

Fantadroms celebrates art, design, movement and togetherness, creating a unique experience for visitors of all ages. Throughout the day, the festival will feature spectacular kite flying performances by internationally acclaimed artists, creative workshops for children and young people, and a wide range of interactive activities.

Designed as both a celebration of the end of summer and a welcoming event for the new school year, Fantadroms aims to become a new annual tradition in the Baltics while strengthening Riga's reputation as an international destination for culture and creativity.

The festival will welcome artists from across Europe and Australia. In addition to the kite displays, visitors can enjoy the closing celebration of summer sailing season on the Daugava River, professional kiteboarding demonstrations, a food court featuring local restaurants, family entertainment, market stalls and numerous interactive experiences.

Fantadroms is created to inspire curiosity, spark joy and remind us of our shared ability to dream, create together and look to the sky with imagination.

The festival takes place at Eksporta iela 3A, Riga Passenger Port – Cruise Terminal, on the banks of the Daugava River in the heart of Riga.
