FAMOUS COMPONIST AND PIANIST LUDOVICO EINAUDI WILL PERFORM AT ARENA RIGA AMPHITHEATRE

The name of today's classical music composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi is praised worldwide - his deeply touching and emotional compositions have enriched countless cinematic masterpieces. Einaudi’s ability to fuse traditional ideas of music genres with minimalism and contemporary pop has earned him a reputation of being a trully rare talent in the world of contemporary classical music. Next year Einaudi is going on a European tour and one of the stops will be Arena Riga amphitheater, where the great musician will perform on April 9. General sale of the tickets at Biļešu Serviss will start on November 30 and the prices will be starting from 49 €.

NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS – THE FIRST HEADLINER OF POSITIVUS’18

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have been announced as the first headliners of the Positivus Festival 2018. The legendary songwriter, author and actor will perform together with his most acclaimed musical companions on the closing festival day on Sunday, July 22. One-day and two-day tickets go on sale today.

NORWEGIAN MEGA BAND A-HA WILL PERFORM AT SIGULDA OPENAIR STAGE THIS SUMMER

Thirty-five years on the stage - the Norwegian band A-ha has achieved a lot during this time, including becoming the most exportable mega band of Norway, playing thousands of shows around the world, including Latvia, as well as saying goodbye forever to its concert guests. However, one can’t simply say "stop" to true love for music. A-ha acoustic album “Summer Solstice” recently was released as a part of MTV Unplugged series and next year the musicians will have a fresh beginning with the world tour where acoustic performances will be combined with concert series Electric Summer. The Norwegian band will perform at Sigulda Open Air Stage on July 17 and listeners will have a chance to enjoy the great hits that have lived through decades as well as brand new compositions which still carry the unique and creative A-ha signature sound.

POSITIVUS FESTIVAL 2018 EARLY BIRD TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE THIS WEEK

In the summer of 2018 Positivus Festival will return for the 12th time on 20, 21, and 22 July, filling the beautiful coastal venue in Salacgriva with more dazzling live shows from well-known and established stars, cutting edge emerging artists, a large number of Baltic acts and other surprises that are not to be missed. British musician Ghostpoet will perform at 'Music House Daile' on February 16

Expressive minimalism, electronic sophistication and songs with a light touch of melancholy - British musician Ghostpoet, or Obaro Ejimive in his real name, in his fourth album Dark Days & Canapes has stayed loyal to the Bristol sound of nineties, and music gurmans will have a chance to enjoy it in a particularly intimate concert at “Music House Daile” on February 16. This will be Ghostpoet's return to Latvia – back in 2015 his performance at the Positivus Festival for many music critics was one of the biggest and most exciting festival surprises.

On 18th of February electronic music pioneers “Kraftwerk”will perform with amazing 3D show in Arena Riga. Positivus festival is approaching fast – Baltic’ s biggest and most exciting music festival will be taking place in Salacgrīva in only 15 days! And regardless of whether you’re on of the festival regulars or if this will be your first Positivus adventure, the festival organisers advise to get your tickets sooner rather than later – from July 14th the ticket prices are set to increase - a 3 day ticket without camping will cost EUR 62 and a 3 day ticket with camping - EUR 68. Positivus festival will take place for 3 days – on July 18, 19 and 20.

Positivus festival is something special and unforgettable; one immediately feels the excitement filled atmosphere upon entering the coastal town of Salacgrīva – the home of the most anticipated summer event. The familiar festival paths will once again take you on unforgettable journey through the sea of joy, celebration and wonderful music.

Apart from the abundantly versatile music programme, the festival organisers have also prepared a multitude of leisure and culture events – exciting festival activities, colourful cinema and Arts and Nature stage programmes, amazing vintage, arts and crafts market bargains, acoustic performances at the camping site, fun games for the young visitors as well as an exquisite cuisine variety and special musical surprises.
