First time in Riga – soul music diva Imany

Author of phenomenally successful hits “Don’t Be So Shy” (Nr.1 in 11 European countries!) and “You Will Never Know”, French soul music diva Imany on 29th of April will perform for the first time in Latvia. The talented artist with suede voice will visit Riga concert hall “Palladium” during promotional tour of her newest album “The Wrong Kind Of War”.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced they will come to Latvia and play the impressive outdoor concert in Lucavsala, Riga on the bank of Daugava river on Thursday, 27 July 2017.

At a press conference in London today, Robbie Williams announced his highly anticipated 2017 European stadium tour. Twenty-nine shows in eighteen countries are announced, opening with a date at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on June 2nd 2017. Erasure will be joining Robbie Williams on the tour as special guests. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 11. Robbie will perform a special one-off show at The Troxy in London this evening to celebrate receiving the prestigious BRITs Icon Award. The award is the highest accolade given by the BRIT Awards and has previously only been given to Elton John and David Bowie. It is only presented to artists whose writing, recording and performances have set them apart as having made a lasting impact on British culture, recognising the very highest level of achievement in music.

In February rising British stars Blossoms will perform in Riga

On 22nd of February the British rising stars "Blossoms will perform at Palladium concert hall. Band from Manchester have won 4th place of the vicinity prospective talent top “BBC Music Sound of 2016” and their self-titled debut album topped British Album chart for two weeks. First results clearly demonstrates that music industry professionals are not mistaken in their forecasts, and continuing to work as diligently as before the band can expect very bright future.

Rigas Ritmi Festival presents – the exceptional Pat Metheny Unity Group on April 26 in Riga!
 
“Pat Metheny Unity Group” is an extension of the “Pat Metheny Unity Band” and includes renown musicians  – guitarist Pat Metheny, woodwind player Chris Potter, longtime collaborator Antonio Sanchez on drums, and Ben Williams on bass, and multi-instrumentalist Giulio Carmassi.
 
The leader of this group – Patrick Bruce “Pat” Metheny – is an American jazz guitarist and composer. Metheny first burst onto the international jazz scene in 1974. He released his first album “Bright Size Life” in 1975. Over the years, Metheny has won countless polls as “Best Jazz Guitarist”, including by “DownBeat”, “All About Jazz” and “JazzTimes Magazine” readers and critics, and awards, including three gold records for three albums. He has also has won 20 Grammy Awards in 12 different categories such as best contemporary jazz performance, best jazz fusion performance and many more.

Project “Pat Metheny Group” has won an unprecedented seven consecutive Grammies for seven consecutive albums.
