Judith Belushi and Dan Aykroyd present - The Blues Brothers

The well-known American show is in Baltic now! Hits and choreography of cult movies The Blues Brothers on one stage. Heroes of the musical, alter ego of soloists of the group, Jake and Elwood will act with blues rhythms in original history about the brothers’ adventures "The Blues Brothers Aproved. The smash hit".

Producers and founders of the musical - Dan Aykroyd, who has acted one of the brothers in the legendary movie, and Judith Belushi, the widow of the soloist John Belushi.

The musical was created in England, in 1991. First the project was presented in provinces. But in half a year it appeared in London, and the initial plan for one and a half months of daily representations was prolonged for a year because of huge success! The musical was very successful in the USA, in the homeland of the group.

Performances were visited by hundred thousands of people, which is a tremendous success for the show, which took small initial financial investments.

Over time the musical became more popular, at the same time scale of statement also grew, new scenic elements such as big orchestra, corps de ballet were added.

The Blues Brothers were heroes of two cult movies, a book, three computer games. It is not an exaggeration to tell that the genre of the blues is obliged by the present popularity to these people.

Even the typical image of the BluesMan in our representation — a hat, a strict suit, dark glasses — was offered by founders of this unique collective  Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. Contrary to the project name musicians were not brothers, however on a twist of fate after John Belushi's death his brother James, well-known actor and musician, played in the group.

The Blues Brothers are an American blues and rhythm and blues revivalist band founded in 1978 by comedy actors Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live.

The band began to take on a life beyond the confines of television, releasing an album, Briefcase Full of Blues, in 1978, and then having a Hollywood film, The Blues Brothers, created around its characters in 1980.

After the death of Belushi in 1982, the Blues Brothers have continued to perform with a rotation of guest singers and other band members. The band reformed in 1988 for a world tour and again in 1998 for a sequel film, Blues Brothers 2000.

They make regular appearances at musical festivals worldwide, and the musical continuous to be sold out, making the audience to clap hands and click fingers in a rhythm of favourite hits.
